It all started with trade shows.
One staple that came with every booth was the traditional plastic molded trash can. In the early 1990’s, at the end of one of these trade shows, our founder noticed several problems with how that industry dealt with their garbage. They were sending high priced labor out to collect the cans and then depending on the condition of the can, even after only one use, some were immediately thrown out. If the can was salvageable even more money was spent on labor plus corrosive and expensive cleaning materials to clean the cans for future use. It was estimated that at least one million pounds of plastic were put into landfills each year due to trade shows alone.
So, in 1994, after years of testing, Eco-Technology developed and now manufactures, right here in the United States, the only biodegradable and recyclable channeled fiberboard wastebasket: THE TELLURIAN.
